Get Your Business in Order – Next 30 Days

Like many of you, today is the last day before this 30-day quarantine.

Does anyone else think this feels like a bad dream? It’s crazy.

I know the last time I emailed you I discussed the importance of email marketing and I’m hoping that many of you took action.

It’s one of the most important elements of your business.

This week, I just wanted to provide you with a list of things that I think you need to have in order for your business to thrive.

I know that right now it’s hard for any business to thrive, but the point of this list is to take care of these foundational elements during the quarantine period.

That way when it’s over you hit the ground running.

Here is a list of just five foundational marketing elements:

  • Website – this needs to get in order. This is your online storefront. And in the mind of your consumer, it either builds trust or removes trust. Maybe ask 10 of your friends to give you their opinions of your website OR look at your competitor’s websites. How do you stack up?
  • Google Reviews – I genuinely believe that if you drive a customer to your website and it checks out – meaning they still trust you. The next place they go is to check your Google Reviews. Keep in mind, first people are spending money with you and secondly, in a lot of cases, they are inviting you to their homes. If you don’t have very many Google Reviews or the reviews that you do have are bad. They won’t choose your business.
  • Email Marketing – Do you have an email list? Is it a list that you are proud of? Are you sending weekly emails to your list? I don’t feel I need to elaborate on the importance of your email list. If you need elaboration please check out my last email or ask me to send it to you again and I will.
  • Social Media Marketing – For many of you, this is not where people will choose your business at first, but it can serve as a way that people disqualify you. It’s possible if they don’t see a substantial following on social media or that you are keeping up with social media they will choose your competitor that does have a substantial social presence. In addition, social media servers as a great way to build community.
  • Google Presence – When you type into Google “Your Industry Orlando” example – “Pool Company Orlando” how do you rank? Can people find you on the first page? What about above the fold? If you are not one of the top choices your chances for being selected are VERY slim.

Again, I could add more to this list, but that just complicates things at this point.

These are the foundational elements.

If you get these right, your revenue will increase. It’s that simple.

Please let me know if I can talk through any of these items with you. I know how to help you with all of them and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
